How to mod unit statistics?
I am running on vista and used medmanager. My newmod folder has the data folder in it with the sounds folder in that (audio.idx and events.idx),the entire world folder, and the export_descr_unit.txt file. the newmod folder also has an empty packs folder, a preferences folder with advice, keys and player in it and an empty save folder.
When I use the New mod shortcut created by med manager the game starts to load but immediatley reverts back to the desktop after showing the first load screen for a few seconds. No error message. If I remove the Export_descr_unit file the entire game loads up and runs perfectly from the new mod shortcut. I guess my question is: where do I put the export_descr_unit file in order to modify the unit statistics? I really appreciate any help as I have been trying to figure this out on my own for a while and feel like I am missing somthing basic.

Re: How to mod unit statistics?
First of all, look at the log folder and check what's wrong.
Second, you must have all units from MTW2 in mod's export_descr_unit file, because if not the game will probaly crash, i.e.:
-open original export_descr_unit file
- on the file bottom write your own unit's statistic, without deleting ones from above
That should work...
