Will Ayers and Obama radicalize our schools?

Just guys who served on a board together huh? I dont know why this was never brought up. Just what was Obama and Ayers funding in the schools in Chicago? What are their radical ties. Its been there for all to see all along.

Ayers looks at graduate schools of education as incubators for his own radical ideology and as a very effective means to reach the minds of our most vulnerable population, our youth.

Barack Obama seeks to "overhaul" our graduate schools of education. The current budget for the U.S. Department of Education is sixty-eight billion dollars and change.

There are 25,000 university teachers in education schools. They just elected Ayers their leader, as president of the American Educational Reserach Association. Consider this fact: 48% of all blacks who get PhDs get them in education, and evidently enough of them are in sync with Ayers' views to elect him their professional leader.

That can buy a lot of change -- and Barack Obama is all for Change.

    Obama’s Real Bill Ayers Problem

Barack Obama complains that he’s been unfairly attacked for a casual political and social relationship with his neighbor, former Weatherman Bill Ayers. Obama has a point. In the ultraliberal Hyde Park community where the presidential candidate first earned his political spurs, Ayers is widely regarded as a member in good standing of the city’s civic establishment, not an unrepentant domestic terrorist. But Obama and his critics are arguing about the wrong moral question. The more pressing issue is not the damage done by the Weather Underground 40 years ago, but the far greater harm inflicted on the nation’s schoolchildren by the political and educational movement in which Ayers plays a leading role today.
    A movement Obama helped fund.

No doubt you were government educated.

The question ought to be how much more will Obama (pbuh) and friends radicalize eduction. The social conditioning of children has been the modus operandi of government education for more than a century. Obama (pbuh) and His democrat cronies want to take it step further by killing private education and homeschooling. Of course the quality of both of those alternatives cannot be disputed. Children in private and home schools do better in every measure of academic acheivement even after adjusting for socioeconomic factors, save one exception in which they tie.

Fundamentalist schools that teach intelligent design and the earth is 6,000 years old tie government schools in science education.

No the real reason they want to destroy private education is because they want control of children. It is much easier to shape the mind of a child to be believe what government wants them to than it is to change the mind of an adult. A good eduction is not their goal. The right eduction is.

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be argued for 10 pages and, at the end of it all, we'll all be stupider and no-one will have changed their opinion?

As Ayers puts it in one of his course descriptions, prospective K–12 teachers need to “be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and . . . be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, a teacher teaching for social justice and liberation.”

It's so sad I live in Europe. I would love to live in America and fully embrace the Barackian Utopia that is about to be formed.

While you Americans are eagerly awaiting the opening of the Grand Obama Railyway that will connect all corners of America to the gargantuan Obamese Re-education Camp scheduled to be built in Colorado, we're here stuck with angry Medvedev and Putin moving their weapons arsenal into Europe.

I can't wait for Eternal President Obama to scrap four-year elections out of the constitution and move the Grand American People's Military into Europe to commence its annexation process. American takeover of the Netherlands began with New Amsterdam, so let's now move to Amsterdam proper I say!

Soon all schools across the world will teach us the greatness of the President. Soon all news channels will be scrapped in favour of OBAMA, or Official Broadcasting Authority for Middleclass America.

Here is one European eagerly anticipating His Coming.

Very sad indeed. I don't really think he will of course if possible he will most likely make them more liberal though.

They're not the best investment these days from a long term standpoint going back. I think they are in good shape going forward. They're in the housing market. I do think their prospects going forward are very solid."

    Liberalizing education means educating.

This idea that conservatism as being the sole incubator of young minds is utterly flawed. It was liberalism that allowed people to go to schools and it was liberal thought that got them to demand basic rights.

Here it means radicalizing or havent you been paying attention

What Obama Did For Education In Chicago !

CAC translated Mr. Ayers’s radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with “external partners,” which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn). See my WEBLOG post on ACORN and Voter Fraud.

Mr. Obama once conducted “leadership training” seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama’s early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education. CAC’s in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement
