New SPQR 7.0 will be released soon

Hello,

Just to let Fans of SPQR know that I am almost done with this Last version of SPQR. Pretty much unless there is something seriously wrong or bugged this will be the last version even though the other was suppose to be the Superfaction fix was just too much to pass up and needed a fresh version for.

I may later work on a Late Empire mod or a Medieval mod for MTW2. Who knows, then if the US economy falls apart and there is riots in the streets I'll probably not have time to make another mod.

This version will NOT be Saved Game compatible and you will NEED to start a new campaign or risk CTDs throughout your saved game. Also many of the features will only be available to new campaigns. I know its tough to start over but its been a years since the last version so I think its safe to say you should have finished your campaign by then. lol I too will have to restart my campaign so I FEEL YOUR PAIN.

Anyway should be about a week or so before release, we will see if there are any delays.

So we don't need a fresh RTW installation/directory to use 7.0 and just copy it over 6.4?

It will be greatly improved upon, and included.

its been a years since the last version so I think its safe to say you should have finished your campaign by then.

Umm, there's no way I could finish an SPQR campaign in a year.

or a Medieval mod for MTW2.

You shouldn't bother... that game has so many problems. Now, if the battles of M2 worked just like RTW's, but with better graphics, it would be sweet, but they certainly do not. Everything feels sluggish and... half-hearted.

I played your Mod years ago and i just remember fighting off hordes of Gauls coming over the Alps. it was a very fun mod. It was actually my favorite at the time. The only thing i didn't like about it was the Romans had pink shields.

Looking foreword to this. Hopefully you get front page billing for it.

Copying over should be fine assuming you didnt make any serious changes yourself?

I just changed a few .txt files (for example adding a few of my original german menu descriptions etc )

@ garnier could you make those sigs 400x100 pixels? these are a bit to bug. if you don' t have the time for it just pm me and i will do it for you. with your consent of course.

You can do what you want with them, they are all smaller than 500x200 which is the limit.

For the people who like smaller sigs. i reduced them so thy won' t take all space in your signature erea. all thx for these wonderfull sigs go to garnier so don' t forget to thank him.

Hi, I've been playing SPQR for quite a while now, and I just have to say you've done a wonderful job. The battles are better than I've seen in any other mod. I'll be looking forward to the new version, and congragulations on completing the mod. By the way, Hesus and Garnier, the sigs look great, however the smaller ones seem a bit stretched, might just be me though.
