Well the criteria for an "Obama Employee has been released... in a new Messiah Approved job applicaion...potential employees need to fill out a several page questionaire thier answers will determine whether or not they get a plum government job...

# 20: Other then the entities identified in questions 15-19 Please provide the names and details of any individuals or organizations with which you or your spouse have been associated with which might present a conflict of interest with your federal office, or have the potential for embaressment

#26: Please describe all real estate held in your name or in your spouses name during the last 10 years. Please include real estate held in combination with others, held in trust, held by a nominee, held by or through any third person or title holding entity, and identity any other person/entity.

#32: Other then from relatives or close and longstanding personal friends on occasions such as birthdays and seasonal holidays have you or your spouse ever received a gift exceeding 50.00 dollars in value? Please identify the donor, the value of the gift, the date received and the circumstances in which the gift was made

#59: Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so provide complete ownership and registration information. Has this registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it has been used and wheteher it has been the cuase of any personal injury or property damage.

#61: Have you had any association with any person or group, or business venture that could be used--even unfairly to impugn or attack your charecter and qualifications for governmental services?


So,... doesnt anyone else feel the immense dripping delightful irony here? Basically to work in an Obama administration you have to be a much less damaged person than Obama himself... because I gaurentee you...had Obama applied for a federal job and had to fill out this questionaire...he'd be rejected from the word go...

Should something like that be knonw by Secret Service (yes, especially if you work in the whitehouse...but thats something that should be discloused AFTER hiring... ) Whether one owns a gun should NOT disqualify that person for employement... take from that what you want from that about Obama's gun policy at large/for the nation....as for me ...I dont like it

How exactly does the question about ownership of a gun suggest you won't be hired if you do own one? What exactly is the point of your whole thread? Is this not considered a perfectly normal and legitimate set of questions to be asked of someone who applies for a government job? Also, where do you read into this what does and what doesn't disqualify someone?
Couldn't you at least put a little work into another obama thread?

Interestingly enough (and extremely oddly) I've been pushing to get a position with CEA and i've not come across this questionnarie. There is about to be alot of turnover in DC not just b/c of the presidency but b/c Bush was there for 8 years and most people get tired of government work after that long (atleast the higher levels, they can make more in the private sector). It's almost the perfect storm when you consider the republican staffers out of work to boot. Kinda surprises me that there'd be a questionnaire like this, it's a little time consuming and inefficient, not just for the applicant but for the people that have to go through these.

It is clear he is concerned about unlicenced guns, people who do not renew their licence in time and guns may have been used in accidents etc. Sounds like he wants to rule out those irresponsible gun owners. I assume you are one of those people who yaps about how it is not guns that kill people and that irresponsible people are to blame for most accidental shootings and giving the bad name to responsible gun owners. Well, what do you know. You probably agree with the question. You are just too anti-Obama to realise it. Seriously, let it go man. He won. It is not the end of the world. As signs point to the fact that he is a serious, organised, non-partisan man with values and goals that will make your country better. At least, give him a chance to prove you wrong.

Seriously, these type of questions, while not usually this long, are becoming more and more common. I don't think answering yes/"wrong" on one/a few of these questions will disqualify someone from a job.

Its so that nothing embarrassing can come out about them latter like what happened to Clintons first two picks for attorney general. It is fairly standard stuff for high level government positions

Its not a question of passing the test it is simply a question of your employer knowing about these skeletons so that if this comes out you have some defence prepared.

umm...since he was elected POTUS...I think he'd be able to work in his own White House.

Like others have said it doesn't look like a "pass/fail" thing.

Lastly, Obama answered all those questions (i.e. Ayers, ACORN and Wright) to the satisfaction of the majority of American voters. I imagine someone who answers the questions honestly to the satisfaction of the person, in Obamas administration, making the decisions would also get the job.
