Hello guys!
Merry chrismas, and a happy new year everybody.
I had a long time off, and am planning to get back to work in the next few days. This will be slow progress though, as I am afraid I have a lot to do here.
I'll let you all know about any progress made.
Wow, I had an idea for a mod and found this. TWC has everything.
Certainly looks interesting, I'll give it a download and have a look asap!
Hi, I have been downloading mods for MTW2 for sometime now having played previous 'The Long Road' mod and others, but when I saw this one I had to have it...
So i uninstalled the whole game (including Kingdoms and TLR) and reinstalled a vanilla version of the game, then added the two recommended patches (1.1 and 1.2) installed your mod and after a few theething problems I managed to get it to work, until that is I have to go into battle and then the whole thing crashes without an error log. Oh and I have deleted the base map file you suggested also.
If you could assist me with this I would be extremely greatful.
Additional, in TLR they had a system where by a governor which stayed in a settlement for 1 turn was granted a Retinue item which was simply a plaque which entitled them the Duke, Earl, Lord, Prince etc of that reigion and gave a tax bonus of 5% for when they were in residence, additionally no more than one character could hold this title for that settlement at any one time. I liked this idea and just thought I would bring it to your attention just incase you haddent heard of that before (you probably have).
Again any assistance you could provide would be invaluable

about try try this one out, first mod for this game
first link seems broken tho and took some time to find the download button on second one thought there was none first... tiny tiny text in the bottom corner.. lol
I have downloaded 0.9 and no issues so far, still have not reached the year 1400 yet but I am curious a what will happen.
So far no crashes.
Cheers,
CB
Excuse me but "la forêt des Landes" didn't exist there was "marécages" so the great wood near bordeaux is anachronic
Hundred years war has really impressed me, at first I thought the scale of the map was a bit overwhelming but its amazingly well balanced once you figure it out (which is a joy in itself).
running 2 playthroughs atm..
1. playing as savoy, have got to turn 70 and have just converted Bern and Chamberry into fortresses. Gameplay with Savoy is a bit unusual, concentrating on savoy swords/axe levy and having no access to anti-cavalry troops makes for some tough battles for the swiss provinces, I got mown down by a few cavalry heavy swiss rebel armies early on. But that weakness makes savoy more of a hang back, develop an economy for awesome late game units kind of faction.
I loved using the Rhone to transport armies deep into and out of eastern france, and the faction seems perfectly set up to raid the coastal aragonese provinces (so I did!). Ive also been ploughing 10,000 a turn into keeping france afloat whilst I prepare to make a go at taking on burgundy and HRE.
2. playing as burgundy ~turn 50 is awesome, really agressive start; the mix of starting halberd militia and longbowmen, as well as looking awesome in purple and yellow lets you go on a rampage into switzerland & italy (4 turns to take their only castle.. ko), whilst using diplomacy to 'buy' the recruiting centre at Fleurs and keep france sweet. Once Marsielle, northern Italy and switzerland are pacified, moving veteran longbowmen and halberd militia into france with the early recruitable support (burgundy axemen/cavalry) makes for a very dynamic faction.
havnt played as the main factions yet, want to figure out all the gameplay changes first, problems encountered: lack of mercenaries for savoy leaves it bit too weak, the pirates on lake geneva are a little asthetically annoying with no game effect. Id prefer it if agents and such could move a bit faster... taking 10-20 years to cross france seems a little odd. Also the river invasion mechanic would be even better if boats could move a bit faster. (Im assuming this is something I could just change myself somehow?)... so yeah this mod is amazing![]()
hi, i don't mean to be a pain in the ass, since i know how the question "how long will it take for the next version?" is nasty...so i'll ask you if there's a log of the progress for the next version...is there one?![]()
unfortunatelly we are pretty "lost" atm. Personally I am serving in the army, an obligation (in Greece) I have to finish. I hope then I will find the time to work again on this.

yeah I knew you had to go for this obligation, but i hoped that the rest of the team was working anyway in the mod...well, goodluck for the future then! How long you still have to stay in the army?
When will 1.0 be out? Can someone please give me an approximate date? Hopefully this year?
Both OAM and I lack time. I don't even know what OAM does exactly know, but my guess is that he's tied up in his study. As for myself I also don't have time to work on the mod, study and work keep me busy for a full 5 days a week and 'study related stuff' keeps me busy in the nights. Hope to get back to working on it, but I doubt I'll find the time ... in my study we don't even do summerholidays.
Exactly, what the hell do you study?!? O.o
Archaeology, we do our digs in the summer. And they need preparation and they need to be finished at the desk afterwards.
Some see these excavations as a vacation, I don't ... due to the rain and mud

I know you guys are busy and all but do you have any sort of date when v1 will be released? I'd like to have it done before summer ends so me and my mates can play it during my big "gaming party" at my flat.
