    Default Possible 2012 & 2016 presidential nominees

Tell me who do you think will run for president in 2012

I think Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana will be one. He might even be the Republican nominee and turn the party around

2012 is too soon for Jindral especially if Obama has a decent Presidency. Remember Jindral is very young, he'll only be 41 in 2012 so Ill peg him for 2016 and focus on regaining control of senate/house by 2012

We seem to have elected someone with not a whole lot of experiance. Why not someone young?

Obama would mop the floor with Palin. She is quite possibly the stupidest politician ever.

Because I think it is too young and he is busy racking up an impressive record as a governor. What's the rush after all, there are other credible people like Romney who could do well in 2012.

She couldnt name the three countries in North America. She didnt answer questions during the debate. She was asked about economics and she went on about energy. She got owned by Katie Courick. And the only one that comes to mind that is stupider than her is W.

There are more than three countries in North America....

Republicans - mitt romney, rudy giuliani, mike huckabee , or Bobby Jindal.

Democrats() Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama (second Term), uhh, not sure who else.

I personally hope Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee is the Republican nominee.

None of these will run, (exception : Obama) I can almost 100% guarantee you.

First step would be to ...perhaps..define the republican party and its ideologies, because quite frankly the stuff of yesterday will not fly 4 years from now.

Very easy. I came from the future.

Seriously, why? Unless these guys somehow convince the public, that they aren't really in line with the Bush doctrine style governing and could actually run a campaign without going negative and smearing, then maybe they have a chance, but something tells me that the Republican party will reform in the next few years so much that we won't even recognize them.

It doesn't really matter if Obama become a success or not, McCain only earned the trust of many, because he was the least hardliner during this campaign and even then he lost. I give no chance to these guys whatsoever. Better get fresh recruits, new faces with new ideas.

After this Prop 8 broo-ha-ha you can forget Romney or any other person affiliated with Mormons. I don't think gays/lesbians/moderate minded people are going to want a Mormon anywhere near the seats of power.

Yep. I think she did a good job on Larry King too.
This comment makes me think of something I felt when Palin was first picked: Republicans have extremely low standards.

It's as if she gets a "good job" for simply not saying anything too retarded.

I'll admit that I didn't see the Larry King interview but I saw the one with Wolf Blitzer. After all this time and all the press on her lack of knowledge on issues she still sounded like she was BS'ing her way through policy/current events questions...

I agree with Pat Buchanan when he says she'll never be able to win a national election. She could become a female Rush Limbaugh but that's about it.

Cynthia McKinney is Green Party so practicaly as irrelevant as Bob Barr. John edwards just cheated on his wife with a woman just like most politicians. And it is better than in a Minnesota bathroom with a man underneath a toilet stall. Dan Quayle is a Republican. Big shocker.

And no hard right evangelical would be cool with romney.

She is green party *now* but her career in congress was as democrat and if you dont believe a guy who ran for VP thought he could visit a woman he was having an affair/baby with in a hotel room and not get caught wasnt stupid well then....

It all compares on how Obamas presidency goes if it is strong all the good reps will wait until 2016 and you will get a horrible candidate along the lines of Mondale on the other hand if Obama doesn't come through on his promises then you will see a much better candidate.
