    Icon9 64 Bit OS

The installer doesn't work on a 64 bit Operating system. (I'm using Vista Ultimate 64-bit) Any way I can work my way around the installer? I LOVE SS, I can't even play the game without it...

I also use Vista and it installed fine. Make sure to check the compatability mode and security settings. I found it easier to run everything with an administrator privileges.

It doesn't have anything to do with Vista, I use the 64 bit version, and the installer is coded for the 32 bit version. Therefor unusable for me...

shouldn't be a problem, I've got 64bit vista and SS works a treat. Vista will just treat it as it does with all the other 32 bit programs (the majority of stuff on your pc).

hey, I got vista-64 Ultimate 2, both this game and BF2 (battlefield 2, which also wasn't design for vista-64) will run, must be something else stopped you from playing, suggest you to do a throughful check...

64 bit Vista Ultimate here. SS installs and works just fine, however, you may encounter problems with some of the mods out there. Mine won't let me play RR 1.7 and I don't know why. I'm sad now.

Well... Damn, nothing seems to be wrong, an error pops up complaining of compatibility, saying it's not a 64-bit program. It's driving me crazy! What can I do?

Remember it's a 32bit program and needs to be installed in the 32bit folder.

I've never had that happen before Lucanis. And because it's never happened to me before all I can do is tell you how I set my game up:
The game is installed in Program Files (x86).
The installers for all my mods are simply dloaded to C:
I am logged onto my PC as an administrator.
With that I had no problems installing any mod on a 64 bit OS.
As I said before, check the installers compatability mode if you need to and run it as Windows XP (SP2).

    Well my shortcut points to

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\Stainless_Steel_Kingdoms.bat"

Is that the same as what you are running Lucanis?

Well, my problem, seems pretty unique, but the fact of the matter is that I can't even get the installer to start-up, it's driving me crazy! Very sad day indeed....

Try re-downloading the 2 files and make sure you're running as admin.

You could install XP as a secondary OS, and play whatever games acts up in Vista there.

OK this may be a bit of a necro-post but I'm hoping to install Windows 7 64-bit next/this week.

Has anyone had any problems with installing SS or any of the mods?
