Now that nearly every moderate Republican except Schwarzenagger is out of office or became independant, what are all these former-Republicans going to do? Are they going to sit around and stay as independents or form their own party? Lincoln Chaffee, Michael Bloomberg, and Jim Jeffords are among the most prominent politicians that have left the Republican party in the last few years. More recently, Chris Shays, the last Republican house rep from New England, was defeated even though he was a moderate. Are all these politicians going to end their careers or will they form their own socially liberal, but fiscally conservative third party?
