    Default Mercenaries and Victory Conditions

Excellent work guys, keep it up! I just finished listening to the whole series again on books on disc after reading it once through as well.

Question: Will Mercenaries eventually be available? I love building armies of mercenaries. I checked out the merc file and it looks like it is almost but not quite finished yet?

Question: So far I have only played one game as Starks and I opted for Kingship and after allying with Tullys and Aryns, I destroyed Lannisters and Joffery, yet it did not say I had won? Do I have to kill off the other pretender to the thrown that is still living, Greyjoy? :hmmm:

Question: What happened to assasins, I have not seen any or been able to buy any as House Stark? :hmmm:

Observations re Starks: They seem to start from too secure a position. I easily allied with Tullies and Aryns and gobbled up the rebel northern holds, and after that it was just marching armies south, capturing a Lannister foothold and expanding from there. Maybe make the northern rebels stronger, have ironmen raid their shores, or wildings raid from across the wall?

FYI: I have seen a couple of princesses and had one of my own, so they are in the game though rare.

Default Re: Mercenaries and Victory Conditions

Mercenaries will be available. It's on our to-do list. Then, House Greyjoy will finally get cavalry in the doubtful form of mercs. And yes, if you claim Kingship, you MUST destroy all other kings.

For assassins, be dreadful to get them. Kill everyone....

Starks begin from secure position, but they begin behind a wall of allies and must march to war. Later, if you don't help, they have to fight Greyjoys or Lannisters in the riverlands.

"Five had been his brothers. Oswell Whent and Jon Darry. Lewyn Martell, a prince of Dorne. The White Bull, Gerold Hightower. Ser Arthur Dayne, Sword of the Morning. And beside them, crowned in mist and grief with his long hair streaming behind him, rode Rhaegar Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone and rightful heir to the Iron Throne."
