activating background script
My first install did not activate the polybian reforms in 242 downwards despite holding all scicily and italy as per conditions. Why i dont know. However the chap with the blackboard worked (aka background script) which has to be activated. I decided if this didnt work then neither would the Marian so reinstalled.
I have now reinstalled the mod. For some reason i have been asked to futher install the background script file along with the recruitment viewer and another file but cannot find - uncertain to where. They sit in the main directory showing the sub folders like EB, data, saves, preferences etc. However when i start a game the advisor appears but the little icon that was a blackboard is faded and despite clicking charactors, and or settlements it does not appear to be accesible. I understand that the script is necessary to activate triggers etc within the game, otherwise nothing happens.
Can someone guide me to how
1. Actvate when its not accesible.
2. suggest where the three extra files should be placed within the directory.
thanks

Re: activating background script
1) I don't know, it should be accessible under all conditions. Perhaps reinstalling works?
2) Doesn't matter where. Incidentally, the script you install this way is the trivial script, not the background script. It allows you to easily manipulate preferences and change the edu (SP or MP) before starting the game.

Re: activating background script
It s the guy who appears top left corner and the blackboard icon that has to be activated. Took five reloads but it now works.
thanks anyway
