Default Does this happen for someone else? (Ai Bug)

In my campaign the AI's stacks get stuck on islands, as they don't recruit any fleets, I guess. This has so far happend to KH(Rhodos), Makedonia(Lesbos) and Carthage(Corsica).

Did a quick search in these forums and didn't find anything about the issue, but if I have overseen something, just redirect me and don't make witty comments. Thanks.

The R:TW A.I., unlike the BI one, rarely uses naval invasions, so island factions often can't expand. However, the A.I. should recruit fleets, if they have the money. Obvious question: have you activated the script? If you haven't, the A.I. is most likely broke.

Incidentally, Lesbos is an island, but armies can transfer to Mysia without the aid of fleets. Dito for Corsica and Sardinia.

I always activate the script, so that isn't the problem. Interesting point about BI, maybe I should install it again. I was under the impression that EB would work best with RTW 1.5 but maybe I was just fooling myself.
I presume an upgrade is not save-compatible, so I think I'll wait with this until the next campaign.

Yeah, I'm aware, but that only makes it stranger. Makedonia shares their Lesbos border with their allies Seleukia, so I'm guessing they don't want to aggrevate their allies, or something.
Well, Carthage doesn't really have use marching between the two islands as they control both.(Cosica/Sardina)

EB was made for R:TW 1.5, but with the modifications you can find in the unofficial mod forums you can get it to work with BI and Alex.exe. Whether it works better is another question. I played several campaigns with BI, but the A.I. does not perform significantly better. The ability to perform naval invasions does help, but it will also encourage the A.I. to perform pointless invasions of coastal areas owned by player, for no other reason than it can. I haven't tried EB with Alexander yet.
