Question! Extended Realism?

Hi new here.

I want to know what is Extended Realism. I currently have RTR 6.0 gold and want to get the new mod I've been patiently waiting.

I saw the Iberian Conflict and seems to me you can play only as carthage, celts, Iberia.

ExRM works on BI v1.6 afaik so if you have RTR 6 Gold you probably have RTW v1.2. You`d need to upgrade.

What you linked to is an unofficial preview of RTR 7. It hasn`t been released yet and most likely won`t be released anytime soon.

TIC only has a handful of factions and you could only play carthage and celtiberians iirc. The rest were lusitanians, turdetanians and saguntum. It`s a very local and limited(both in time and space) campaign.

Do you have any other questions about the ExRM? You can play it without BI if you upgrade to RTW v1.5 and make the tweaks outlined in the info post. I do recommend BI, though. It's not too expensive now and the AI is loads better.

Wait for what? RTR 7? RTR 7, even in its current concept, has been in production for 2+ years. 3 years almost if you count the previous one spent by the previous team. It`s not something that will happen by next month or a few weeks. It might be another year or it might never happen. Most of the mods don`t actually make it and people posting they`ll not start a rtrpe(for example) campaign and instead wait for rtr 7 to be released have been in their hundreds probably. Go ahead and play RTR 6 Gold or RTRPE or try ExRm for now. I remember when I was not sure wheather to invest my time in tweaking rtrpe to my tastes or rather wait for RTR 7 to be released. It was in the summer of 2006 iirc.

Florin80 was senior when I joined the RTR forum in early 2006 (I didn't register here until that forum went down for good). He knows his stuff.

Well, I was half joking. I don`t actually want to sound arrogant to the guy.
Besides, at the time when you were releasing modified versions of Shoes and Sanky`s EDU`s (removing double hp I think) I wasn`t able to do such complex modding. At that time you were senior.
