Sorry if some of the faction names aren't precise, I tried to make them as simple as possible for the poll.
The Mongols are unplayable (or a transition) so forgive me 'cause I put them in as playable
The emergment factions might be unplayable too so this poll is more like: What faction do you like the most?
Some more factions will be playable in later releases as provincial campaigns.

And if you can't vote then just post who would you like to play the most and also why if you have a reason.

I voted for Bohemia which looks very promissing. Many other mods ignore Bohemia or when they include it, they don't represent it very well (for eg. making it very German-like when it had very little common with Germans). Go Czechs go!

I voted for Sicily - because it is a a fascinating merge of Byzantine, Norman, and even Arabic culture, with an efficient militairy and government system...

yes, I think I have read the preview 3 times - still trying to fully get my head around the government systems...
hmmm.... I think the emergent factions may not be playable in the 1st release - but I think this is yet to be decided...

Oh, and I also think playing as Pisa would be fun.... they are by far the most underrated of the Mediterranean trading empires...

Yeah - I see what you mean... if I was playing as Pisa, I would concentrate on dominating the Med, and simply appeasing the big European powers - especially the HRE with big wads of cash.... and I would try ang get the Pope's support to protect me from HRE, Genoa, Sicily, and Venice...

The emergent factions won't be playable in the main campiagn afaik (although there may be different start dates, im not sure tbh).

And as it says in the preview, the Mongols are playable as a sort of dynastic change from the Seljuks. Basically if you go the seljuks and decide you cant defend against the mongol horde, you will recieve a message asking if you want to surrender to the mongols, and by doing so take over at their helm. You could always refuse, and be utterly decimated unless you sail off to cyprus until it blows over. This was done not only as a fun way of incorporating 1 extra faction, but also because it represents the nomadic aspect of the Seljuks, and the fact that they were close to crumbling by the 12th Century.

This is a great idea. It could be incorporated with other factions such as The Kiev State... or something of the sort.

I would probably start with Poland. I love their location between pagan Lithuania and HRE. I'm also curious to how they changed that faction. Poland and Hungary aren't modded very often, and when they are, it's minor changes.

Yes they did. The Khwarezmian Empire might be a conversion option for the Seljuks, but I'm not sure. Maybe I need to watch the preview...again...

After England, I think I'll play the Seljuks. I'm going to refuse the order to surrender to the Mongols and see what happens...
