I've tried for ever to get BC running

Ok I'm running MTW2 on steam but I've had a devil of time trying to get BC (1.0 and 1.05) to work. YES, I've put @bc.cfg in the launch option.

I've gotten Stainless Steel working no problem along with multiple sub-mods with few problems, so its not like I don't know how to install them or steam for not working.

I've tried BC with or w/o kingdoms installed, with 0 other mods installed, a clean install. I've even tried to get the BC kingdoms mod installed with no success.

Basically every time I try to run BC I get an error message when it tries to run. The message reads "Medieval II suffered a fatal error and will now exit." with the headline "CA_LIBS".

If you need my specs
XP 32 bit
AMDx2 5600
Geforce 8600GTS
2 GB RAM
self-built that has yet to fail me!

Have you patched mtw first? Be sure you have a clean install, download bc again in case you have a corrupt download, install with no other programs running in the background. See your control panel for information. Maybe virusscanner, firewall.
If not maybe something went wrong in your register? Thats what i can think for now.

Steam automatically updates games with all patches.

I actually haven't tried a new install of BC so I'll give that a go.

I just had this problem, actually. Looked around for awhile at the other threads on Steam crapping out, but it just doesn't work. When I tried the @bc.cfg change and tried to run M2TW, I got the same fatal error; with other fixes, the option to run BC doesn't even appear on the launcher (the one with the poll and everything). I have Kingdoms and SS 6.1 installed, but nothing else (and fwiw SS works just fine).
