Default So...how long will the Honeymoon last?

Despite not voting for him i've still haven't hesistated to celebrate the victory for its symbolic and historical importance. That aside, i've decided to reserve judgment and will remain cautiously optimistic that Obama will be able to perform once in office.

My verdict is that the much vaunted "honeymoon effect" will see him through until early March or so. I suspect that the Media will turn on him before then though.

There are already people calling for impeechment lol. He is walking a very thin line, I agree. Its alot like the new guns and roses album, the more you hype something up the more likely it is to disapoint. The press will slam him, maybe even faster than you think. They need something to boost ratings. Although I maintain high hopes.

Baring any major international events I give it til around summer before the critical eye of the media starts realizes a man not god was elected. Im more interested in seeing how Jon Steward and Colbert handle unemployment. Since no Bush around anymore they will actually have to come up with something funny which is unlikely and if they DO manage to do it Im sure the Fairness Doctrine which Pelosi, Schummer etc are all just itching to bring back will put a damper on things..all viewpoints need to be heard after all!

The daily show has been around for over a decade, true bush has probley made both of them oodles of money. They'll be fine, the american political system is so filled with the rediculous, its a potentialy limitless supply of stupid. Its the holy grail of satire.

"John, we're a little confused here, what are we supposed to cover now?" -the daily show/colbert election special tonight
