Ballot Measures: the story no one notices.
While the US is electing the first non-white President in the history of the country, I wonder if the ballot measures are far more representative of "real America":
- Arizona, Florida and California noted to ban gay marriage while Arkansas moved to ban gay people from adopting children.
- California and S.Dakota voted no to abortion term limits (that mean that the parent does not need to be notified).
- Nebraska and Colorado voted to end affirmative action and I think they picked the right day for this.
- Michigan voted for stem cell research and allowing medical use of cannabis.
- Washington for medically assisted suicide.
- And Maryland for video lottery, people! Is anyone here from Maryland? I would like to hear from him...
In all the ballot measures give the image of a widely diverse country and not a nation under a liberal onslaught as some pundits would have us believe.
Sincerely, well done America.
