What if Obama gets assasionated, while Bush is still president?
I think it would turn out to be catastrophic. Masses of people would feel betraied and angry, wich could resolve in massiv riots. They might suspect Bush behind it and totally loose it.
Would Bush implement Marschall-law?
Would the millitairy, or whorse parts of it pick sides with the angry mob?
Hypotetical I know, but I thought about this since a couple of such plans where actually planned.

Barack is going to have more security around him than The Pope. There will be a laser defense matrix and every third person will be secret service with a submachine gun.
Trust me, if you think it could happen, you KNOW everyone around him is overly aware of the risk, and measures are in place.

All it takes is one lapse through the system, one single lapse. It's a sad fact, but there's quite a lot of nutters out there who would want him dead for the sole reason that he's black (well, not white at least).
