Vote! The rest of the world is counting on you.
Honestly that for the majority of people is probably pretty unpersuasive. I would vote but I am under 18 so not till next election...Vote! The rest of the world is counting on you.
"July 14, 2008: I think this is a case where Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are fundamentally sound. They're not in danger of going under. They're not the best investment these days from a long term standpoint going back. I think they are in good shape going forward. They're in the housing market. I do think their prospects going forward are very solid."

Actually, in some states with a known by far greater majority voting for one candidate or the other, if you are not voting for the candidate than is by far in the lead your vote means just about not anything due to the electoral college process.
So, vote if you want to and don't vote if you want to, it's your choice, and that is democracy.

Either way you should vote. It tells the candidates you care enough and that your viewpoint exists and can't be ignored. There are also non-Presidential candidates running, so even if your a Californian Republican or a Texan Democrat you may end up getting someone you like somewhere into office.

Yes, that is true, then again it might not be true, it all depends.
I vote in every national election, although I missed one and voted for Alfred E. Newman or is it Neuman in another, and I don't believe my missed vote or my voting for Alfred affected the final outcome of the election in any manner.
However, as you say is true to some degree, especially in states where there is a close margin of support between the two candidates.
It is better to vote than not to vote.
Chris
Can you vote "blank" in US elections?

Like my state, even if I was planning to vote tomorrow (Im not) not voting for Obama would be a waste voted. Hell my vote has been a wasted since I cast my first vote for Bush back in 92Democrats could run a retarded midget and probably win New York by 1 or 2 points.
