    Default tune up the cavalerie

Hey, i was playing darth mod befor i wanted something new and interresting. Well i found it here.

I love this mod, expect for one thing. The cavalerie is poorly represented for what it truly was! As a student in military history, I learned how important cavalerie was back in the medieval ages. In fact, it was the turning point of many battles.

The only probleme is that cavalerie are wayyyy to easy to kill and although their charge is quite powerfull, once enterring melee combat, they start perishing against basic infantry. Some faster than others, and yes it should be that way, but none the less, 2000 horsed men could throw back 10000 troops head on. Yeah they were not trained to take cavalerie down, but wasnt that the case for most men in the middle ages?

All this to say, is their any way i can make the cavalerie men live longer once their charge is over? With permision of the creators of the mod how can I make them live longer in melee combat?

PS : I apolagize if theirs many spelling errors dont juge

well, you could always raise their hitpoints so they are represented as harder to kill, but just out of curiosity, which units are you refering to when you say they are defeated by basic units??as you well know once a horse has made a full charge it is next to useless for any other continued movement, leaving them helpless in the face of dedicated and often times overwhelming local numerical superiority. Therefore it must be said that this is one of the primary reasons that Cavalry are often times seen as the decisive blow, for that is what they are,the final strike, the knockout punch on an already shaken enemy, just as much psychological as it was forceful.I am of the mind that their inability to stand long under force of arms is completely accurate based upon the writings nd reports not only for the era represented, but also of those that wrote in later times(see "Cavalry"by Captain Louis Edward Nolan for more Details on the matter and why my stand is as it is)

There are changes being made. In the mod test runs cavalry can overrun many units. Expect the New TLR soon. Been dealing with lots of bugs. Changing errors. Correcting and expanding building and unit formats, etc. Lots to be done and there are only 5 of us, perhaps 7.

So Cavalerie will be more "powerful" than they are? .... I suggest maybe a you guys should take a look at darth mod. Its a preaty good representation of what it should be like. Maybe a little less stronger than in darth mod, just in the melee part. But other wise darth mod hit the perfect mix of the turning tides of battles ( committing your cavalerie to the battle ).

Anyways, when will this mod be out?

in the data folder find mounts file. open it and change mass(es) as you see fit. that simple.

That would be in the mod's data folder. If you change something in the base MT2W folder, it'll change it for everything. Except perhaps the mod, if the mod uses a different version than the base M2TW. In that case you'd have the change occur everywhere except the mod.
