    Default Help out an undecided....

    Hi everyone,

First off... I want to say that am happy to be here... I have heard good things about this site.... so I finally made an account....

    Well... to my question...

The election is only 2 days away am I am still undecided, I see there are lots of different opinions here... (and lots of people who seem to know what they are talking about)...so I want you to convince me who to vote for....

But instead of getting a million responses to search through... I was wondering if each side (liberal/democrat and conservatve/Republican) could pick ONE (1) PERSON to argue their case... if each side knows someone who can argue best... ask the to try and convince me why their guy is best...

(sorry to ask a favor with my very first post)... but I figure this way is the most efficient...

Thanks in advance for your help

As a socialist I respectfully abstain, but note I am voting for the Democratic ticket.

Really you wont find many partisans on this board that perfectly fit either party, at least ones that can argue a case...

Yeah, I'm also going for Obama.

One of the biggest problems with leadership is that sometimes people mistake strength of force as good leadership, when it in reality shows the opposite.

Even though Obama's tax plan would benefit my family, I have to oppose him on most matters. I am dissatisfied with both candidates, and I don't think either of them is worthy, but McCain is the lesser of two evils. I would rather have an experienced politician in office than a novice.

Dude's been politicking most of his adult life, and look how quickly he became a contender for the highest office in our country. Do you call that an accident?

OP: if you like how things have been going, and are afraid of committing to policies that do not unilaterally benefit the wealthy, vote McCain. He's experienced alright, in the traditional sense...but I think Washington is long overdue for a swift kick to the shins, and he's too cozy.

If you want to see dramatic, new policies, a shift in our economic foci (less consumption, more production), adoption of new technologies, etc...Obama's your man.
Giving tax breaks to the wealthy, is like giving free dessert coupons to the morbidly obese.

It would help if you identified which issues are most important to you. That way it'd be easy for people to put together a cohesive argument for either side.

I'm surprised you haven't decided yet. I already voted. All well, I hope my sites help you decide.

I find it interesting that in response to an established and respected news source, you posted a blatantly partisan and conservative site that only attacks Barack Obama.

It's even more interesting that the other source you posted has an article saying how your first source is deliberately misleading people..http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2..._is_wrong.html

Yes am young by most terms and so I have to look at which kind of life I will have to try and live in. Sorry if my word use isnt the best but go on what you think is right not what others say is right.

What I say..is a littlebit might sound unfair and cruel, but those people who are still undecided after all these days and 2 years of campaigns and having all the info available at both candidates websites for even those who are in the hurry...you shouldn't vote. Here is my take: Don't listen to anyone, shut off the TV,
    -asses your problems
-what you want or want to see

and once you do that, compare it to what the candidates promise and vote for whoever fits your plans better.

What issues are most important to you? Make a list of at least five issues with the most important issue at the top.

Who makes realistic promises and who tells you what you want to hear?

    The choice should be obvious.

    1. Does any candidate make 'realistic' promises
    2. Every candidate tells you what you want to hear

Messena is right tho, the choice should be obvious by now, and if it isn't you can always write in Mickey Mouse

I hate both candidates, both pro new world order, both anti gun, Though i like palins idea of more drilling in alaska, thus it will mean we wont have to blow the middle east to to get there oil, well have our own, ill probably go third party, Ron paul if hes running.

BTW to opening poster, go with what your heart decides, No one can tell you who to vote, go with what you think will benefit you, note that there is more than two parties, Choose wiseley, no matter who gets voted in, where gonna be in for some VERY hard times next few years, choose someone who will help YOU.
