Stupid questions on BI for XGM

Dear all,
I have two questions, one on BI for XGM, and one on XGM options:
- On BI for XGM, I understand that it has to be 1.6. So I have installed 1.6 on BI, but just 1.6, should I have installed (if I understand the numbering correctly) 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 ?
- On XGM options, I have rerun the installer to change options (esp. to put fatigue back) but I hav the feling it has not changed anything on my game. Is it not save game compatible?

BI without any patches is already 1.4, so only 1.6 is needed.

You have to start a new game for any changes to take effect, such as any fatigue options changes.
