    Default Need some help to find the cause of my CTD with my EDB modified! :)*edited*

    Hey dudes

    Can you help me to find the cause of my CTD when I launch the game?

    PS:I've changed the refill time (ex: 0.25 to 1) and the number of units allowed in my section of recruitment (ex: 1 to 10).

    I'd be very gratefull if you help me to find it!
    Thanks in advance and have a great day mates! :wink: :original:

    Your error might simply be somewhere else then the EDB.
    Have a look in the root of the game, there is a file called system.log
    Open with notepad and search for entries with [error] in it.
    Make notes and follow up in your files.

    (Nobody is going through 600+ lines of code looking for a fault without knowing what to look for)

    Haha I know that nobody will search in +- 600 lines for my error but I was hoping that someone has a 'program' which can found the errors...
    Anyway , I've re-changed all my EDB.

    Thanks anyway

    If you set the logging to 'error' then quite a few errors are actually pinpointed either to line numbers or general issues. This is the entry for your medieval2.preferences.cfg file:

    Code:
    [log]
    to = logs/M2TW.system.log.txt
    #level = * trace
    level = * error
    Blue is the directory (logs) where your log (M2TW.system.log) will be
    Green is the disabled (#) trace option (loads of (non-critical) detailed warnings)
    Red is the enabled error option which is very easy to read.

    There is your tool!
