What do you do when you can't sleep

Well just lately I have not been sleeping very well and when I cant sleep, I just lay there and think.

So thats it I think, normally about everything thats going on in my life.

Especially lately, I think I have made a huge mistake in moving away and it keeps me awake.

Usually i turn on the TV and turn off the Direct TV reciever so it has the white noise then i turn it down to "1" on the volume then i put on a 30 minute TV timer.

I do this, too. Sometimes I get out of bed and write some of it down.

I normally have no trouble falling asleep, but I usually do the "stories" thing anyway. It's become a habit.

For some reason, I get a feel of inspiration when I'm tired.

I usually either play piano or guitar, depending on the mood when I can't sleep although the guitar is a bit loud.

I think of all my problems in my life....imagining how it could be if it was different....and after a while my thoughts drift away from that, I force my mind back, and then it goes like my brain says "I don't want to think 'bout that right now, chap" and turns off completely. 8-9 hours later I awake and think about the same stuff I thought of the evening before, to wake up.....weird enough, it works....
