What is the best text editor app and where ....
What is the best text editor app and where can I get a free copy?
(Presumptuous ( the 'free' thing, I know ). I am using "Notepad".
I would like to be able to glance up at a file masthead and see what the path is from which I got and will return a file to. ( And if you understand my twisted explanation, you can relate to my plight).
I also wish to know if there is any kind of 'comparator' app out there. In the olden days we coalminers/programmers had such devices...for punched cards. You could compare one file (card) against others to see:
1. what they had in common
2. what was different
3. and in some apps, you could merge, or edit, one, both, or all the files in your nest.
Any help on this matter will be appreciated.
