as u can see from the following im total noob about this so i wanted to ask

what folder saxon faction symbol is in ? (u know , that yellow dragon on black background) and saxon flags banners etc ? or i need to unpack sth ? ...

Which symbol size are you looking for?
data\menu\symbols = subfolders
data\ui\southern_european\interface = sharedpage_01.tga, stratpage_02.tga
Flags and banners are in data\banners and data\banners\textures. Last one is linked from data\descr_banners_new.xml

Photoshop is Fine, but u need the DDS reader from NVIDIA, here:
