Savegames on Vista
Does anyone know where the EB save games are stored when the game's installed on Vista? I want to transfer them from a laptop with Vista to a desktop with XP, but I can't find them.
Any help much appreciated!

Re: Savegames on Vista
When installed under the "Program Files" directory, weird things happen. This is one of those. The save files are somewhere in your user folder (the same place as the "My Documents" area of your computer).

I tried looking in there, but I still can't find it. What file type are they saved as? And would they be the same name as I've saved them under in the game?

Re: Savegames on Vista
I have Vista, and mine is installed in the Program Files ... here's where my saves are:
C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\EB\saves
They're .sav files, and the Name is the same as the in-game save (autosave.sav, Roma.sav, etc).

Re: Savegames on Vista
They are going to be in this file called, I think, compatibility files.
It's located where the circle is in this picture.

I had problem too when I wanted to transfer saves from my laptop with XP to my PC with vista, but I found an easy solution. You just have to make an new file named 'saves' in your EB directory (where it normally would be) and then place your savegames in there, then you will able to play on your savegames.
