I have been reading forums and i read that using garrison script once and then not using it will slow down the game
Is that true ?
Also does any one else experience long loading screens ?

I don't think there exist any performance-related issues if you don't play with the script...it just doesn't make much sense to start with it and not using it later, because the game gets to hard or something

In the "bug"-thread a few topics below someone encountered a script-related problem with his savegames...you might want to check that too...so either play with it or don't

Long loading screens: I never timed it but someone wrote he could even leave the room for a while before a battle starts...it differs from machine to machine and what exactly "long" means for you

If you decide to use the script in your game, you must ALWAYS ALWAYS use the script in that campaign. If you stop using it, things can get messed up. I don't think the game will crash, but there are problems with the year suddenly changing, and other things like that.

Basically before you start the campaign, choose to use script or not, and stick to your decision.

I think hes really meaning if you forget to activate the script until after you end turn

That's the same thing, it is bad. You'll need to load the savegame from right before you did that. I save several times each turn (on long turns anyway) and I always save right before hitting end turn. I keep a backup of one save from each turn on my computer so if I make a mistake like that I can go back to before I made it, whenever that was. Has saved me lots of trouble...

Before I did this, one time I had to go back 40 years, and completely redo my invasion of Macedon... fighting those same battles again was misery, lol.
