Silly questions:
In which folder are the screenshots placed?
And screenshots are being made with Prt_Scr button, right?
I might wanna do an AAR for my Kingdom of Epirus campaign. So using the screenshot foldah would be handy

Gargantua, you could try shooting your screens with Fraps. The freeware version allows you to make bmp files only, which are pretty bulky. But, humble MS Picture Manager allows you a fast conversion/compression of bmp files to jpeg (from 2-3Mb to 100-200 kB per screenshot) in matter of seconds (all at once). ME
Well, I figured that slapping on the PRINT_SCREEN button in battle would be much easier then activating another program in between like Fraps.
I mean, if the PRINT_SCREEN screenshots are placed in a certain folder of XGM-D, I can edit them later in Photoshop ( as I usually do ) while im focusing on the battle itself.
If battle is over, I can save meh game and close down XGM-D....and then trace the screenshots I made during battle and write my AAR.
Or is it possible to have FRAPS in background --> attach a key for making screenshots and have something in similar way?
Ah......Fraps being in background while a key serves for screenshotting is good. Then I dont have to ALT-TAB all of the time and past my Print_scrn into photoshop ( like I used to do in a former AAR , LOL ! lots of work ) and ALT-TAB back into XGM
I think FRAPS will do even though its BMP format. I usually edit the pictures in Photoshop myself ( cropping / making strokes / etc. ) before saving them as JPG.

Simply pressing the "Print Screen" button will make your required screenshot. The screenshots are placed into Rome - Total War\tgas\ folder in *.TGA format.
The bonus of using "Print Screen" is much better quality screenshots - the game renders the frame twice the size and then reduces it, giving a nice Antialiasing effect with more details and sharper textures. If you want to take screenshots with "Print Screen", then you must turn antialiasing off in video settings, or the screenshots will be blank.
There are dozens of programs that easily and quickly convert dozens of TGA's into JPG or any other format. I personally use ATI's 'The Compressonator', but that's just a matter of preference, because the program loads up really fast.
