    Icon6 Explain your online identity

The idea came after browsing these threads:
How did you come up with your account name?
    Users Speaking Like Their Avatars
What doth your Custom User Title meaneth?

Posting in any of these would qualify as necro-posting (not to mention most of them are outdated due to frequent changes), plus it would be great if all these info about the online identity of citizens would be available in one BIG thread.

We're all curious, so tell us...

    1. What's the story behind your account name? Why did you pick it?
    2. Why did you choose your avatar?
    3. What does your custom user title mean?

    1. How did you come up with your account name?
It used to be "Sextus Loverlord" but I've changed a lot since I picked that name. My current title is a culmination of recent events and the area where I'm from.

    2. Why did you choose your avatar / how would your avatar speak?
My avatar is Khushal Khan Khattak - a sage, a warrior-poet. He was a Pashtun nationalist from a time when nationalism was a very bleak concept. He liked his women just as he did his sword but no wine, it's haram!

    3. What does your custom user title mean?

I picked out my favorite letters of the alphabet - must have been 2002, maybe 2003? - and tried to arrange them so they would be most pronounceable. (I did this by drawing on the frost in a window, or something like that.) Ended up with ZUWXIV, which I imagine to be pronounced like "Zuh-zive"

I won't change my avatar (I've had it for years now), and it's from a screenshot of the Dragon Special on Animal Planet.

I've had several user titles - for a while, it was RexPubilcae, which meant "King of the People" in Latin (although I've heard that that's not actually correct). It was a play on Republic. Later I had Crandartate, and if you don't know who Crandar was then the joke misses you. Right now it's Born Ready, which I was, but I'm thinking of changing it to Bear Claus.

    Because bears are awesome.

My username, if not per obvious, is a combination of Roman and Biblical names. The Roman stems from my time with RTR, on their forums I was just Lucifer, but that name was taken either here or on The Org, so I added Augustus summarily without thinking about it much. As for the reason behind the anti-christ, no, I'm not a satanist, nor a staunch atheist/christian, I have just always been fascinated by the relation of moral tenets to deadly sins.

My avatar was a drawing made by a member of a forum I administered, and I felt it was an abstract depiction of knowledge and secrecy, symbolizing what can only be described as The Watcher. Now, it's possible it's from a game, I would not know, but if it is, I'm unaware of that origin. My old avatar was Salvatore Riina, when I used to run the Mafia games.

My user title is pretty self-explanatory. Rest In Peace Bernie, keepin it real to the end.

    1. What's the story behind your account name? Why did you pick it?
Chess. In chess it all comes down to moving your figures in a wizard way in order to gain space, time and power to overwhelm your opponent, so that he won't see through your long-term strategy. I've been playing chess for years (and still play) before ending up at the TW games. My online name on chess sites is PowerWizard, hence my TWC account.

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?
My current avatar is one of the Kings in the Argonath monument (most probably Anárion), from the LoTR saga.

I chose it because it matches my account name; it all makes sense with my current profile skin, that has a LoTR theme too.

    3. What does your custom user title mean?
This is a funny story. I googled my account name, and the first hit was this page, an ad for an electric fence.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Hence "Power Shock Technology".

    1. What's the story behind your account name? Why did you pick it?

Well aja5191 is my account name for everything - my initials and then the last two digits of my Hebrew and English birth years (5651 and 1991)

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?
I don't really know...I found a picture on my harddrive somewhere, so I just went with it. I think it's cute enough, but it's kinda getting old for me, so we'll see how long it lasts.

    3. What does your custom user title mean?

Well it used to be "Justice, justice shall you pursue" in Hebrew, but now it's another hebrew phrase, "To every end there is a new beginning". I don't know how that really relates to anything on TWC, but it's a nice thought.

    1. What's the story behind your account name? Why did you pick it?

I did some family research and it seems like my ancestors were mostly Magyar, Cuman and Polish. So if you looked up who were the Cumans , and add the Magyars, I largely identify myself with those wild steppe nomad, those who just couldn't settle down for very long, I feel their lifestyle is in my personality, since I can't settle down, let it be a job, a place a belief or ideology I think a horse archer really immediately makes you think of a nomad than anything else. Although I am proud to be partially Polish as well.

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?

See my answer above + add the fact that I like Mount&Blade for beside being an awesome game, it is an indy-project initiated by 2 people and I favor small developers, unique ideas coming from creative individuals doing it for the sake of loving what they are doing opposed to money driven companies.

    3. What does your custom user title mean?

Same as my title+avatar. I don't care about it much , neither the reputation thing, which I have turned off. Whether you like what I read or don't I will give you my opinion regardless if it's popular or not, I'm not here to please anyone

jimkatalanos, my friends were calling me jim in high school(it has to do with my real name) and because I support Barcelona in football they also called me katalanos, katalanos is the Greek word for Catalan. So, this is the result, jim + katalanos= jimkatalanos

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?
I change my avatars often, the current one has to do with Garb being our beloved "dictator"...

    3. What does your custom user title mean?
Barca, this is how my team (F.C.Barcelona) is usually called.

Whats the Story behind my username

Well I am a big fan of the blackadder series and have used various character names for other forums and online games where I often use Private S Baldrick.

Well, I was following the Assassins Creed hype, and went to their website to see some more content. I decided to play the game over there which required me to type a username.

I intended to type Chimera, but due to me not feeling sober and sitting in the dark, it turned up like Chimaeira. I thought it looked cooler. I recently changed it to Chim because it's more universal.

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?

I admire Lions and Tigers and thus my avatar. I also love the colors of fire (Red Orange Yellow).

    1. What's the story behind your account name? Why did you pick it?
Well Macky is my nickname that I got from school and I have been called Macky by everyone with the exception of my family who call me James.

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?
My avatar is Boris Johnson, the mayor of London. I chose this picture because I love Bojo and he is a complete buffoon but he has character that Red Ken was distinctly lacking.

    3. What does your custom user title mean?
Clann Labhrainn is Scottish Gaelic for Clan MacLaren. Im half Scottish so I chose my family name. My signature is also in Scots Gaelic and it means 'The Appin Regiment: The Stewarts of Appin and the MacLarens'. Its from a plaque at the Battle of Culloden where my clan fought for the Jacobites in 1746.

My first name was based off my email address. (yeah, I didn't plan on staying long ) nut eventually I changed it to this.

I found a picture of Al and I thought he looked totally hella awesome. I loved the way he looked, and I had just watched The Godfather so I went with it. The current theme is Al Capone Halloween.

    3. What does your custom user title mean?

    Not much mystery there.

Usually they have the names of my favorite songs or lines from favorite songs.

I think this may be the first time I've posted here save for one thread.

    1. What's the story behind your account name? Why did you pick it?
My first name is Meg. Empress came about due to trying to fit into the Lordz forum where everyone had titles! Empress pretty much trumped all other titles on that still small community. It was the first board I joined when I discovered the joy of the Internet and I've kept it ever since.

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?
This avatar is the one I used at the Lordz forum- I like to keep one identity. My critieria for picking this avatar was "female" as opposed to male. I like her hat too.

    3. What does your custom user title mean?
It means I am an admin here at the TWC. I don't change this (or my username for that matter) as I always fear it may confuse someone who requires help.

    1. What's the story behind your account name? Why did you pick it?

Thats easy. Caradog's my real name. Its historical, there was Caractacus in Roman times, various Weksh kings named Caradog in Medieval times, and the name Caradog was still in common use in Empires times. So I figured it would do well for a history based forum like TWC.

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?

Well, I've allways loved Welsh folk music, and the idea of a Bard or Bardd. Welsh ones had to be able to master the Harp, Whistle and was it some sort of early Lute? But anyway, I play Harp, and Whistle and flute, so I love the idea. My little brother is named Aneririn, and there is a very famous Aneirin as a Bard in Welsh folklore. I have allways loved Bards.

This Bard picture comes from this

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

A picture by Thomas Jones a Welsh artist. I love the picture, there are tiny details like the cavalry in the distance, a dead body with a harp beside it. I allways reckoned the Bard was deaf, and is going to kill himself because he's so sad.

    3. What does your custom user title mean?

Well, it did say Bardd Cymraeg (Welsh Bard) but I just changed it to Deaf Bard, for the reasons I said above, and also because I guess nobody else much on the forum speaks Welsh.

    1. What's the story behind your account name? Why did you pick it?

Well back in the mists of my early internet usage I was going to join the USAF, and I went as Sidewinder. As I grew up and changed my idea, I wanted to break away with what I saw as a childish name and chose another one that sounded cool, Boeing.

    2. Why did you choose your avatar?

It's from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the best comedy on TV right now, not only is it funny but it takes place where I live. The character is Charlie who is in the middle of singing his "Rock, Flag, and Eagle" song, in the episode "Watch Charlie Goes America All Over Everybody's Ass".

    3. What does your custom user title mean?

It's a line from the "Rock, Flag and Eagle" song.

After being treaded on and demanding that no one tread on him anymore, he sings this patriotic song, which identifies with all that is great about America.

    I'm gonna rise up/ I'm gonna kick a little ass/ I'm gonna kick some ass in the U.S.A./ I'm gonna climb a mountain/ I'm gonna sew a flag/ I'm gonna fly on an eagle/ I'm gonna kick some butt/ I'm gonna drive a big truck/ I'm gonna rule this world/ I'm gonna kick some ass/ I'm gonna rise up/ Gonna kick a little ass/ Rock, flag and eagle!
