    Default How can you script the movement of an army?

    How can you tell an army at the beginning of a campaign to move to a certain location and attack another army? Just so that when you start the campaign, so that the army will move automatically and will attack another army.

    Look at XGM Diadochi or RTRVII:TIC both those use a script to do this.

    Expand your borders, a mod based on XGM 5.

    You might need to use a show me script, otherwise, I don't know. I'm not well versed in scripting myself.

    Also, put something like "console_command add_money 10" at the beginning of the script to check whether the script is running at all.

    Also, check that those are the correct internal names for those characters.

    Expand your borders, a mod based on XGM 5.

    That is what I mean, the script is not even running at all. I have it in the descr_strat, descr_campaign, export_descr_advice, and export_advice, but it still doesn't even see the descr_script at all.

    You are certain that the script is not running? Just because the characters don't move doesn't mean the script doesn't work, that's why I suggested the add_money command.

    Anyway, looked at the Diadochi script and there is another command in it, well I'll just post some of it.

    I also looked at another script and the command they used was also just "move x" so that seems to be the correct one, not "move_character".

    From my experience, when the campaign script does not run, the problem is somewhere in descr_start. Probably somewhere in the forts section for you.

    Since you're using console_command, you may need to put double quotes around character names.

    And, like CaesarVincens said, insert a command to add gold before the other console commands.

    I noticed you said descr_script. That's not what you have in descr_strat. Make sure the name of the script matches what you have there.
