Some questions...

I want to start playing RTW again, and I have some questions beforehand:
(Oh yeah, as always, I thought of many good questions but I only remembered 3... I might add some later )
1) Which mod is better to play: Rome Total Realism or Europa Barbarorum?
2) Do these mods include 4 turns per year, and if not, is it easy to mod myself?
3) In these mods, or in vanilla, is there a faction representing Slavs?

EDIT: Which versions of the mods would I have to use for Rome Total War: Gold?
Also, where are the user created mods for RTR on its website? Can't find it...
