    Default Holy Crap! The Plague!

My God! The plague seems to be targeting my favorite generals with 2 10 star generals dying and 1 rare scholar member dying. These were the only ones who died due to plague and to add insult to injury a 8 star general on a boat suddenly dies of plague after the plague was extinct. Damn the plague is there any tips to help contain the plague without stiffening my military campaigns?

Before the plague hits move all your family members/generals in forts close to your settlements along with your most valued troops. Continue to waste the enemy but don't ever take an enemy settlement that is plagued.

Use plague dmg+siege drain to kill off enemy stacks in settlements without losing a single man.

hint: don't rely on quality generals: never place investments on one man, have tons of generals with high loyalty and little negative traits.

    Especially ones with nightbattle

That's really efficient, but I like m2TW i nthe fact that I can raise and developt my generals like those Japanese kid-raising simulation games (albeit in a completely differet atmosphere), so I will continue to babysit my generals!

i dont care who mine are, 2 stars is fine with me. If they get saucy or get nasty traits they sit in a city or go on a boat to nowhere.

like you said nightfighter is all i care about.

odd you're having issues with the plague...i never seem to run into it or have any issues at all...my medieval world believes in Clorox antiseptic wipes evidently. wish there was a sub mod that made the plague the utter hell it was....yay?

I've never even seen the plague in my games. I would suggest city halls and churches to prevent it.

Nothing can prevent it completely, although public health buildings will help minimize the population loss. As soon as I get the first event message I pull characters and better units out of settlements.

When i've got the plague I use my spys to get it to cities of my enemy and let it drain his population and army as when te symbol is gone I siege the city, biological warfare in medieval times

Public health buildings will solve the problem, and for some reason I think that if you play Muslim factions you don't get the plague that often.

    Quick...To the reload chamber!!!..

When you'all siege stuff always look for your friend the little rat. if you see him run away. Always make sure you build any health structures as the first part of your infrastructure.

The main plague events are set for specific settlements, so some areas will see little if any of it. If you want a peek, take a look at descr_events.txt. for what settlements are scheduled to get hit.
