Default How do I know that patch download worked?

Hey gang! I just downloaded this mod and first I accidentally installed in my C:\program files\Mozilla area and I am not sure that is a bad thing but to be sure that the game would work I reinstalled it in the C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War.

Any way out of frustration and being impatient, I am pretty sure that I messed up on installing the patches 1.1 and 1.5 because I can not find anywhere when I open the game that says that this game is version 1.5. So how do I know the patches worked? :hmmm:

If I have to do a clean reinstall of everything with this mod please tell me how to uninstall ALL of the King or Country files as this mod does not have a convenient file or button or whatever. By the way this game looks great because I really wanted to play a Pike And Shot style Total War Mod. Thanks for any assistance.

Oh and I hear the firing of Bows when ever Muskets or Pistols fire, so I guess that means neither patch worked? But How do I correctly install these patches? And on a side note, I noticed that Pikemen never use their swords but only use their pikes. As you can imagine this looks a little odd when their fighting a guy one foot from them. Will this be corrected in later patches? Thanks for any assistance.

To install the patches point the installer to your M2TW directory.

AlphaDelta, your mod is awesome but your response does not answer any of my questions. Could some please tell me how to do a clean uninstall of this game so I can reinstall it hopefully correctly.

    Okie.

    Download version 1.0
Double click on the file (for_king_or_country_ver_1.exe)
When asked where you would like to install to, choose "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War"
    Click ok.

    Download patch 1.1
Double click on the file (for_king_or_country_patch_1_1.exe)
When asked where you would like to install to, choose "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War"
    Click ok.

    Download patch 1.15
Double click on the file (for_king_or_country_patch_1_15.exe)
When asked where you would like to install to, choose "C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval 2 Total War"
    Click ok.

I suppose if you download the mod, the patches and then installing it all at once like I did means how do you know the patch works!

It's a bit like "How do you know the light goes out when you shut the refridgerator door!"

You should have 3 different readmes in your M2TW folder, one for each version of FKOC. If all 3 of those readme's exist in your M2TW folder then you almost definitely successfully installed it.
