    Default Strange Teutonic Order

    After their appearance they've attacked Vina which is my city, instead of heading to the North and attacking Lithuania or Novgorod. So, I gave them Vina for a ceasefire and allied with them, hoping that they will finally do what they are supposed to do and fight pagans and schismatics, but not HRE which I think they should not attack at all as the order itself was German. Is there any way to tweak Teutons behavior so that they will stick to history closer?

    They function as a normal faction, they'll attack anyone and everyone.

    A real bug for the order is when you kill them off completely, no faction destroyed message comes up, as they will always retain #1 economy status.

    They annoy the hell out of me as a spawning faction;
    If I'm playing the Byzantine Empire, the Teutonic Panzerknights will ALWAYS steam on down and lay siege to Constantinople. Every. Damn. Time.

    If I'm playing the Early campaign through, the Assassins' HQ and a stack of Guards is always a priority.

    I think they're coded like the papacy. THere's no eliminating them.

    Can someone with modding experience help me to modify the Teutonic Order for my future campaigns? I'd like them to appear in West Prussia, be aligned to HRE and Poland and be at war with Lithuania. After they carve their own empire they are of course free to backstab or attack anyone they like, but when they appear they should do what they are supposed to do - Christianize pagan Lithuanians and try to bring Novgorod under control of the Pope.

    You can try doing it like the emergent KoJ submod for early era. In that sub-mod the main army emerges right beside Jerusalem. This line is added to campaign_script.txt below the main spawned army:

    Code:
    		siege_settlement Baldwin, Jerusalem, maintain
    You should be able to set up the main TO army to spawn right beside a Lithuanian settlement and besiege it. Of course, that won't take into account the possibility that Lithuania has either been destroyed or no longer owns the settlement you specify.

    What is wrong with them, are they look strange or their behaviour is strange?

    It's how they behave. I don't think I've written something about their looks anywhere in this thread.
