    Default Question for AlphaDelta

A question to you Sir if I may be so bold!

I am enjoying this MOD immensley. Mainly because of the historical accuracy you have built into it. Both campaingn and battle details.

To achieve this you must have a great wealth of knowledge of the era, it's politics, social and military history.

Are you in fact an historian either amauter or professional?

What area of history have you studied ? (I believe you are responsible for the MOD "Broken Crescent" although I have not tried it).

I have studied this era for near on 38 years and to pull together this master piece is a work of art. I have played board games of this era and tabletop wargames, none have replicated for me the flavour of this time in history. This does!

However I noted early in my Royalist campaign Goring has listed as a trait
"Social Drinker". Well he must have socialized alot as I seem to remember the war drove him completly to drink!:hmmm:
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]I would rather have a russet coated Captain who knows what he fights for and loves what he knows. Than him who you call a Gentleman and is but little else

    Hi,

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying it. I truly believe it to be a mod that has no parallel. Not that I think it's "the best", but because the period allows it to have details that many mods can not.

To achieve this you must have a great wealth of knowledge of the era, it's politics, social and military history.
I did quite a lot of reading and research. Before I started I only had elementary knowledge of the period. Infact if I am honest before I started researching the period I was not even sure which side Cromwell was on or what he did.

Are you in fact an historian either amauter or professional?
Truthfully neither, I am a computer networking graduate that has found himself working with young children!

What area of history have you studied ? (I believe you are responsible for the MOD "Broken Crescent" although I have not tried it).
As much as I'd love to formally study an area of history, I have never felt it a good career move.

However I noted early in my Royalist campaign Goring has listed as a trait
"Social Drinker". Well he must have socialized alot as I seem to remember the war drove him completly to drink!
I read that Goring was considered to be a 'hard fighter and a hard drinker'. It's hardly surprising considering he spent considerable time in Portsmouth.

    Cheers

I did until my request was erased twice. Nothing like being refused common courtesy.

Well may I suggest that you post it more in detail but before that, you will have to consider the usual restrictions a modder has to handle to accomplish this feat on making a mod. Not every mod can still be historically accurate due to the of course limitations of the game SINCE its not MEANT to be played in this era..........cool as it is.

I would answer your question if you would stop spamming it. It's completely unrelated to the topic set by Wildflower and you already PM'd me the question once. Not to mention that the question has been answered 10 times before.

Once again a perfectly decent and interesting thread gets derailed and closed because an impatient, immature, idiot can't be bothered to use the search function.

Wildflower, I apologize and please feel free to PM me any specific questions.

    Cheers
