The Carthaginian phalanxes are the reason we should make sure we never face them outnumbered, or else get in a position where we can destroy their units in detail. If our infantry cohorts are all engaged face-to-face by their spearmen, the battle will be lost.

OOC: I can't remember when they get them, I think it's well in the future, but the Carthaginians have their own reform which I thought unlocked their Pikemen(I never play carthage). Also, I'm OOC so your just shouting out gibberish!

ooc: Elite African infantry and the like fight in the phalanx. I think. I know for a fact that they can recruit them and if not, they will undoubtedly recruit alot of phalanx mercs. Also, as long as they have their island settlements, their wealth seems ENDLESS.

Senators we need an update. Have we declared war yet? What moves have been made against Carthage? Has the legion in the north been brought south to retrain yet? What is the plan!
