Why my money go down every turn ?

I play SS 6.1 and my main question is why my money go down by 12 000 every turn when i play as the mongols ? I didn't try another faction yet but i bet it would be the same. And one more thing to ask: is there any mini mod for SS 6.1 that makes the AI turns go faster than usual ?

When you're playing as Mongols, you have several full stacks to support at the campaign start and no sources of income other than king's purse. It's not the case with other factions that have their cities.

It's normal if you have huge armies and no cities. The Mongols have to defeat Kwarezm to build their own empire and economy.

No no, i know that. I have like..6 cities and 2-3 castles. In the overall statistics I see how much money i lose each turn for upkeeping my army and etc., but i lose another 12000 each turn and i can't get it how this is happening.

Pretty much the main challenge of the mongol campaign. To establish an empire/strong economy before you are way too deep into negative treasury.

Don't be afraid to disband any units if you feel you can't turn it around.

Did you have the Pirate event pop up by any chance? There was a bug that caused you to loose 11.000 every turn if you turned it down.

poop the pirate bug, you should start over.

That is your issue then, there was a bug with that event if you denied it.

There is a fix around for it (look into the Bug reports sub section and look into the Expanded Faq.) but it is not save game compatible.


If you like that campaign too much you can simply add manually to yourself the ammount of florings that you loose from that bug.

If you denied it it's not a bug. The bug is when you don't even see the event yet you lose 12000 every turn.

asying X to pirate even kills your economy just like that. It's pretty much suicide on your empire.

And as for this "fix" it's not save compatible. Sorry man.

It's okay now. I was on my..15-16 turn when i got pissed off with my florins went down. So..i decided to put this fix and now it's perfect.

To make the mongols stronger, I gave their cavalry up to 6 chevrons upon training with the highest level stables. That ways their unit continues to be elite.
