Icon5 Now this is odd and unfamiliar to me...

Okay, I'm playing as Rome on H/H and I seem to be having a weird problem:

    1) My years keep jumping every time my turn ends. Not EVERY time, but it's happened like 3 times now and from what I can tell I should be at like 130 BC or something and I'm still at 182 BC.

    2) Even though before I went through the year 182 BC without any problem, now it CTD every time I try to end the turn on the winter of 182.

Are there any game specifics that cause a CTD? Like no units garrisoned in a settlement or maybe owning a settlement with some other random requirement?

Also, I know somehow you can change the year in this game but I forget how. And if it involves the tilde button, forget it because if you read my other post lol you know mine doesn't work for whatever reason.

    anybody have any ideas?:hmmm:

I don't know the command offhand or how to use it properly, but I know there is one.

It sounds like you loaded a game, didn't load the script, saved, and then reloaded that savegame and have now thoroughly confused the year script. That could probably be causing all kinds of CTDs. I'm not sure how to fix this problem, but fast-forwarding the year probably couldn't hurt.

The year script is based on turn number. It doesn't care what the year was last turn or before you started it. Once you start it, it adjusts automatically.

I'm having the exact thing on my game as Rome with the winter of 184 BC where I CTD. I tried reloading an old save from I think 198 BC, but it happened again on the second try at the winter of 184.

Darkside- do you have any settlements that you are intentionally having rebel? (I found that if you do this and forget to repair the walls, it CTD, at least that is my experience)

Oh, ok. Nevermind what I said, then.

That's strange. Decimator22 just played through this year, so I know it can't be a year-based thing.

This is probably very incorrect but for Darkside can another faction having a settlement rebel cause a CTD. Like I said on mine for some reason if I don't repair walls and a city rebels, I crash, so could another faction have a similar thing happening cause a CTD?

Also since I made a save right before I crashed, the crash occurs when I click the script for the 4 TPY. This is probably caused by the saving thing you mentioned earlier.

If you're playin 3.3.4 with hotfix f, post your saved game, I'll see if I can reproduce it and take a look at the script.
