so i got a book called well the Fall Of Rome by Michael Curtis Ford and i figuerd i would tell every one here becuase well we all know we love this stuff. So far its good and it sheds alot of fun light on the time period. You can see the legionarys totaly chaged but yet still hard core. idk so far its fun but i dont know if its historical at all if you read it you decide

Yeah, I have every one of Michael Curtis Ford's books, actually. One of my favorite historical authors. I also enjoy Steven Pressfield, though his writing style is a bit odd at times.

But Fall of Rome was really, really good. Made me sympathize with Odoacer, and I WANTED the Roman Empire to fall.

I've just finished a really good book by Harry Sidebottom called "Fire In The East". It is set in the mid third century and revolves around the seige of Duras by the Sassanid Persians. Very descriptive and intense. Well worth the read.

BTW, Harry Sidebottom is a Professor in Classical Studies.

    Cheers
