I think if I still lived in the same place as I am doing now ( Holland ) I would be in the Germanic faction.

I guess we should answer this depending on the place we live in now. So I live in Istanbul, European side. I guess in ancient timeline the place were occupied by Greeks (Athenians) first. Then Romans. It's also possibly a little bit of Thracian as well.

Well, true. But according to some sources, later an Athenian General Alcibiades used the city and bosphorus to control the movements of the Persian ships. He build the Maiden's Tower too, though there are many rumors about it and it was rebuilt several times etc. Besides I didn't say Athenians found it, I said occupied. Nevermind.
