free upkeep units

hi guys

ive got a question, im playing KoJ on Late campaign, and i got a question.

Its going reasonbly, i deleted the high upkeep units and all. But as some people said last time i was here, i couldnt find any free upkeep units. Not one!
Can someone please explain to me why there are no free upkeep units for KoJ On late because they have it hard enough financially

I had the same problem.
But in fact it was working, it was because i did not pay attention enough.

When you check in your settlement, their colour should be a little darker than the other one.
And if you put the cursor on the unit it should be written in the tag.

Im playing this campaign aswell, just crusade all the time, and have every general to spare crusading like mental, then during the crusade down time just turtle up and defend, then explode again at crusade............ps this is so much fun

no i checked every garrisoned unit

and it doesnt say in the tag. Thx for the help though, il recheck

all of the knights are free upkeep in castles they can be recruited in.

Maybe you should check in EDU which unit have the free upkeep ability and see if they do or not in your game.

Units that have been recruited from cities have the free upkeep only in cities and same thing for castles.
And only if you have the level building allowing their recruitment.
Exception i guess for units that can be recruited in both cities and castle (if there is some).
