    Default Play all nations

    There is a patch or something that allow me to play with all factions(I like much Byzantium and islamic powers) before to end a campaign with one of the first five ones?

    if you just want to unlock all factions then you just edit the descr_strat.txt file and copy the factions you want into the playable section. you find this file in the folder

    \\Medieval II Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

    if you want to play them all at once then you have to additionally edit your medieval2.preferences.cfg for hotseat games. the preference file is in the medieval 2 folder

    I have try but it says me that is unable to save the TXT file

    maybe its write protected
    you also have to start a new campaign for it to work

    All the files in the data directory are "read-only", Samir is correct: right click the file, choose 'properties' in the drop down menu and then clear the tickbox where it says 'read-only'. Click Apply, Ok and save.
