    Default experience like rtw?

i loved my legions in rtw, old scarfaced veterans of many bloody wars and battles. at last with exp 9.

in mtw2 i have nice units, but they all are "cannonfood", experience in mtw2 isnīt existent, not in the way like in rtw. all players of rtw knew what i mean.

question: is it possible to change the system of mtw2 in the way of rtw? and if it possible, how?

What exactly are you taking about? Do you want it to be easier to gain experience? I'm pretty sure the mechanics of experience gain are hardcoded.

    thatīs the answer.
    hardcoded.
    oh no.

not easier. experience is without worth in mtw2. a difference between a Rank 1 Unit and a Rank 9 Unit isnīt really existent.
    thatīs

i hoped to mod the unit-boni per rank.
    example:
    rank 1= +1defense/attack
    .
    .
    .
    rank 9= +9 defense/attack

so veteran units are unique for the factionleader.

Hm, well, not "worth it" depends on how you look at it and your underlieing statsystem.

If you have a low attack stat system (like DFK a elite infantry with attack 6) the 1 bonus point per exp trier has a big impact.

And dont forget the moral bonus. I think its +1 for every exp, but Im not sure.
But a low level unit with 4 or 5 exp can hold the line considerably longer than without exp.

    That is 100% hardcoded, sorry.

It's not only morale, it's also discipline.

Try using say teutonic knights without experience without a general. They move as a mob, attack whatever strikes their fancy, mess up while fighting getting surrounded, rout easily etc.

Use teutonic knights with 6-7 experience again without a general. They perform as good as they should, fighting in an organized fashion and being far more effective.
I believe the 6XP teutonics without a general is the equivalent of no XP teutonics with a 3-4 star general!

The change from RTW is the morale bonus on top of a defense bonus. Alhoon is completely correct.
But I agree with Monguntiacum, it takes ages to get the chevrons (unless it is a general that is slaughtering fleeing opponents by the hundreds)

Or just cavalry that has an easy time slaughtering fleeing opponents by the hundreds.

Still, since you can retrain your units, they will eventually get gold chevrons. IMO it should be easier to move up the chevrons, but retraining should reduce the XP just like mixing a unit with a no XP unit.
I have some gold spear militias. Why? Easy!
Spear militia 150... after battle 24. Retrain. Rebels. 150 => 100. Retrain... repeat this and at turn 100 or so you'll have gold units.
Oh, and that gold militias put Armored sergeants to shame.

damn i wanted it like rtw the way kingdoms does it is the worst no defensive upgrade or morale upgrade talk about experience that does nothing. You could get a hacking tool to crack open the hardcoded stuff but the worst part about that is once you cut the pillow and stuff your candy in it is that you have to sow it back up!:hmmm:

Experience in Kingdoms is morale as well.
    Defensive bonus = better armor.
EDU attributes like hardy, good morale.

Please check the forums around here before having these outbursts (I believe there is a Rant&Rave forum) or maybe ask people if they have some info about what bugs you.
