    Icon6 Diplomacy and management

Is there any way of enhancing a diplomats ability without actually succeeding in a deal? I really want Milan to bugger off but they're none too keen on how I keep defending Genoa successfully. Then other random gimps attack me for no reason, (my reputation's pretty high, everyone hates Milan and Portugal), like Spain who decided to throw their crusading army at me.

Or if not, is there possibly a mod that enhances AI in diplomacy? I know it's called Total War but I'd like to spend a single turn not fighting the same battle over and over.

Also squalor. Any methods of keeping it down without massacring the population?

    Cheers

I have a theory I havent yet put in practise, just to keep diplomacy up and in talking order.

When you have a neutral faction with lots of money, ask for some, and in return pay the full sum back, or some interest in the tribute part.

You can do the same in reverse, if you want a faction to grow a bit quicker, you give em a good deal of money, and have them pay it back in tribute.

    Here is what affects diplomacy.

    1- Your Global reputation
2- Your relationship with the faction you want to deal with.
3- The Level of your diplomat
    4- Your Overall faction strengh
    5- Lots of money

If you have nothing good in the mentioned aboved it will be harder for you to concluded a deal

Never Trust Milan!!! I would suggest that you exterminate them

I would try LTC as Lands to Conquer, have a look at the mod thread in the forum.

Don't build farms higher than the second Level and don't build Brodels at all.

There is no way other than striking diplomatic deals with particular diplomats, if you want to increase their skill level.

There are many mods that improve the campaign AI in many ways, a choice would be Lands To Conquer, as Rebel666 stated above, but I suggest you take a look at all the mods in the hosted modifications section, as there are many things that you may be interested in.
