    Default The Crusades

Ok, Prehaps one of the best mods for Rome Total War, yes you know it ( while obviosly by the title of this thread ) The Crusades Mod, It has long been a desire of mine to see this mod reach It's full potetial ( is that how you spell it )

Seeming as all the unit models of the mod have been done it lacks just one thing in my opinion. Custom Buildings.

I will be happy to make the custom buildings, but all I need is someone to incorprate them into the Crusades mod. ( also a codder would be nice just to balence the game a bit more .)

Basically if no one is willing to help I will not carry on as I do not belive I can do all the work myself ( for one things i do not even own a RTW cd anymore but that is easily solved). So anyone with me

Oh incase you are wondering, Caius Britannicus gave me permission to carry on his mod way back in Feburay.

P.S There is allways the possibilty of adding the Byzantiums to the mod but I am not sure how Caius Britannicus would feel about this

    God Wills It

I disagree, Its a great mod but custom buildings would put it up with the best, anyway of course everyone is busy cos you would not be a modder if you wern't.

What expertise have you got at the moment? I am a fairly fluent text-editor, but that is it, and my coding leaves a lot to be desired.

I would be able to incorporate the custom buildings into the campaign map, but it would take some training on my part to incorporate them into siege battles etc.

You really think it has what it takes to match RTR, EB and R.S... well go ahead and i'll wait for to see

Could we perhaps use some of these medieval buildings for our Alagaesia mod as buildings I thought we may have to leave out unless we borrowed someone elses.

when it was released it was something different it was medieval, its like European TW before Empire TW will be released so it is the same level with those mods.

I dont mind different... in fact I prefer different. Sick of seeing all these mods from the same Era. Fantasy are not that bad unless its the same two mods... thats what makes me so interested in Alagaesia:TW. Medieval style fantasy with dragons, cant go wrong with that lol. I hope to see this soon. If I remember rightly Crusades is either EB or the link kept messing up thats why I never downloaded it.

THe whole point of this mini-mod (as far as I am aware) is to fix the gaping whole in the efforts in The Crusades, improving the mod as a whole at the same time.

Adding custom buildings would be cool, but what would be best is if you mod-folderd the mod, added scripts to represent the foreign reinforcements and tested it to make sure that there aren't the random CTD's which plagued the mod.

Doing these would be imo much more useful than making the mod some castles and mosques.

Agreed; this will be a big help and will gain more support.
