For administratively and military minded generals, how many levels of education are there and how do you get the higher levels?

i know one thing abaout Gen:
When you do a lot of fighting they recieve experience points but that you knew i suppose.
The first attribute i almost every time get for my Gen that fought a battle was that he was wounded - hitpoints.
but if i am not wrong there must be some txt -file attributes.txt or something like that .
will check this out.
I posted this question in another thread but looking thought the file you can see that there are
4. Basic, Standard, Advanced and Master however nobody seems to know how to attain them.

Here are all the Military Education triggers. You can gain military Ed by "growing up" in a wooden castle or higher castle settlement (that is while your character is 14-16 years old and still has those "wants school" traits like freshman, sophomore, junior, etc.). Chances are better if the castle is stone or higher. Having a military mind increases the chances of getting a military education, supposedly, but I don't see how since it does not appear in the triggers. Cumans and Lithuanians can't get military education in castles.
Theoretically, a character should be able to gain advanced and even master levels during his education. If he triggers the event in each of his four turns of education. However I have never seen this, if someone has please report it. Statistically, there is a 3% of gaining advanced, and 1% of gaining master in a stone castle+ if the character sits there all four turns. Perhaps the low chance along with the fact that frequently you have to lose turns moving the character to the proper settlement has to do with it.
There is also a chance that a character that is adopted or married into your family will bring these traits, but never beyond level 2 (standard). Pagans are excluded from this (again, Cumans and Lithuania).
There is a very small chance (10%) of gaining a level after a crushing victory if it happened at odds not greater than 1.5 in your favor. The scarcity of crushing victories along with the low chance may be why we don't see it happen regularly.
If you kill 25%+ of the enemy in a battle where the odds were 1:2 against you or worse, 10% chance of gaining a level.
If you win a battle average victory or better, at odds not better than 1.3 in your favor, and you lose less than 20% of your troops, 80% chance of gaining a level. I have fought a lot of battles like this, I wonder why I don't see the trait gain more frequently.
There are small chances of gaining a level every time an academy, siege works or cannon foundry is built where your general is governing.
Sitting in a castle with a military academy has a decent chance per turn of giving you a level (15%) and over a period of a few years should practically guarantee the higher levels for a character sitting there. Probably the best way to a military education, and it makes sense.
If Dad had an advanced or master military education, the son might inherit one level (all those evenings sitting on his lap before the fireplace as he recounted his battles).
Finally, if your general belongs to the Teutonic or Templar factions, he automatically spawns with one level.

OK I've perused the traits and as far as I can tell, being military minded does not increase the chances of getting a military education. It does however, increase the chances of gaining a lot of other military traits like GoodCommander, after battles and after building certain buildings in castles. Therefore, it pays to send a military-minded general to get a military education because if he gets it, it will round out nicely with the martial traits he will get after battles etc. making him a greater general. But NOT because that "military minded" vocation has anything to do with the actual chances of getting the Military Education trait. OK?
This is liberating because one no longer feels that a military-minded general will be wasted unless you send him to get a military education. The chances of getting an education, military or admin, are the same regardless of his "mind". If you perceive that too many turns might be wasted getting him to a castle, it is better to leave him in the city to get an admin education. Or if you plan to have him primarily as a governor, give him an admin ed regardless of the young man's mind.
thanks caralampio, good explaination, i had been wondering about it all for a while now. +rep
One thing i was wondering was do the generals have to be the acting governor to get the traits as i have had a few times when leaving a general in a castle already garrissoned by another general and he got no education whatsoever.
And does the general have to come of age in the settlement or is it still fine if he gets to it in the first turn?
also would the WantsHigherEd trait improve his chances of getting to edu?
thanks bud
Its not the one with youre name on it, its the one addressed to whom this may concern you have to worry about

I was able to get advanced military education for 2 of my generals as France but I don't know how I got it. Can anyone help??? Is it because of the military school?
What do the schools do besides raise happiness 5%?

Well, Sacc, I may be missing something about your question, but they allow your generals to gain an education, I believe.
is it possible for your generals to get a better education depending on the victories your generals get?
I mean if you win amazing victories, your generals will gain traits better at schools because they have better schooling.
