Default Any suggestion to lower turn times?

This mod is great, the only problem it's the really annoying long turn times... I'm looking to some Scripts/others things to cut, i do this with europa barbarorum, cut a nearly useless client ruler script and i got a major improvement... It's possible to do to ss?

you could try to lower your speed of thought, i suggest alcohol, or opiate based drugs.

if that isn't your thing, than there's not much you can do, turn off follow AI movement, defrag your hardrive, and cut background processes. The long turns is a result of more complex and more numerous processes going into the AI's decision making. Not much else that can be done.

I have never had this problem, but i have a sick rig.

the only thing i can suggest is besides not following enemy movements is getting better components.

I know on my old rig when i played modded RTW games i updated my ram and noticed an increase to speed of turns, so if your not at your max (3ish gig on 32 bit os) go buy some sticks.

Turn off "follow AI movement". Strip "excess" things out of the campaign_script.txt. Sometimes just getting rid of the "dead king" and "princess comes of age" notifications can help somewhat.

good idea, is there a link to what can be stripped without screwing up the game, or can you tell me what can be safely removed?

Here's a thread which discussed a variety of ways to lower end turn length. Posts 32 and 58 have stripped down campaign scripts attached.

Edit: Post #111 has even more stripped down scripts, but eliminates some of the core features of SS.
