Campaign Won't Work

I installed the game then patched to 7.03 followed instructions. But when I click Main Campaign it sais "Please select an item from the list" then when I exit the game a box comes up and sais something like "There was an error line 28 column 1" about the date of the campaign start and end or something. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and everything but it still does it.

That usually happens because of a corrupted downlad.I am afraid you have to downlad them again.

Aww

I downloaded it from Filefront I think. Hopefully if I download it somewhere else it will work cause I've been itching to play this game for 2 days now.

Ugh, nevermind I've tried downloading it from at least 3 other sites. Same issue.

Okay lets go step by step.From installing Rtw to 7.03 please can u describe your installation process?

The first time I downloaded V7.0 by itself, into the Rome-TW folder as it had selected by itself which contained my BI and RTW folders. Didn't work then got the "Please select an item from the list" so after that I downloaded the 7.03 patch thinking maybe it would be fixed or something but I still got the same issue and error message (Error line 28 column one descr_strat begin and end campaign date). I deleted the IBFM folder and tried re-downloading it from fikeplanet with the same issue again. I reinstalled RTW and BI then installed IB again but still got the same issue. Deleted the IBFM folder then downloaded IB from 2 other sites with the same problem (Both of which after I deleted the IBFM folder after - did not reinstall RTW or BI because IB doesn't overwrite any of the vanilla folders). The first time I installed it I had no mods but it wouldn't have mattered at any rate because I had tried reinstalling the entire thing and still got the same issue. I'm also using Vista if that's anything to be concerned about. (Edit) I've actually searched for similar problems and people say that the version they're trying to use their specific mod for isn't the one the mod requires. I am absolutely positive though that I had BI 1.6 but I will download it again to make sure.

(edit) Yeah just had to apply the 1.6 patch to BI and it works fine now. Thanks for your help though.
