Does anyone agree with me that muskets / handgunners and the like are useless at defending walls in sieges?
I'm presuming they suffer from the same bug as Crossbows not being able to shoot over castle walls, does anyone know how to fix this problem?

They're only useful in sieges if the enemy breaks through, and even then they're not very useful. Musket units are only good in the open fields. Hopefully in Empire they'll be better since they can garrison. Maybe they can patch M2TW with that mechanic so that musket units could 'garrison' the walls and fire over.
They better be good in Empire. That's the main weapon.
I mainly use them for the huge morale drop they cause on enemies. If you shoot for long enough I really noticed a higher routing rate.

Ok heres waht I noticed with Muskets, When they are on walls, only about 5 of the guys get a shot off, they can only fire through those spaces in between the brick.. so really it is useless xD.. Compared to archers... and YOU CAN GARRISON THE BUILDINGS!!! in EMPIRE D:ASFDA:GLSDFKH;l

try surrounding ur gate/wall breaches in a 1_1 formation with fire at will disabled then as the enemy come thru all ur units fire at once, thats gotta be a big morale killer.
