The reason Kerry lost was because he's a terrible politician. The man's got intelligence and a good set of ideas, but he can't express those ideas eloquently to save his life.
Which ever dumbass on his campaign team convinced him to run a charisma-based campaign is an idiot. If he ran a solid policy-based campaign that attacked any of Bush's horrendous actions and cited rational alternatives, he might not have lost.
man, still no votes for Kerry. and Mithie u left out that he is a liberal from Mass., and that will pretty much trump anything else, regardless of how rational he could come accross.

Gore.
Even if Global Warming turns out to be a lot of Bantha poodo, I would still prefer if someone would make an attempt at stopping it. It would suck hard if it turns out to be a lot of Bantha droppings, but if it turns out to be 100% true I would feel a lot safer if Gore had been elected.

Then again, he wasn't banging the global warming drum very hard when he was up for election. I'm not sure he would have made much difference.
Holyeven Obamas enemies voted for him above Gore and Kerry
